The Las Vegas Rescue Mission offers shelter, meals, clothing, household items and life-skills counseling. The improvements the employees made allowed the Mission to focus more of their efforts on providing these essential services to the women and children who live there.
With the help of some donations, our volunteers, their family members and friends, the NV Energy employees were able to make the shelter more comfortable for its residents by installing new vanities and toilets, flooring, florescent light bulbs, a fresh coat of paint and general cleaning.
The mission of Rebuilding Together with Christmas in April is to preserve and revitalize houses, nonprofit agencies and communities, ensuring that the less fortunate, particularly the elderly and families with children, can live in warmth, safety and independence.
