Instant Rebates for Energy-Efficient Pool Pumps
In Nevada, pools -- and the pumps that filter them -- are almost a necessity. If you're filtering your pool with a single-speed pump, NV Energy now offers valuable instant rebates to help you upgrade to an energy-efficient two-speed or variable-speed pump.
There are several good reasons to replace your single-speed pool pump with a new two-speed or multi-speed pool filtration pump:
- Save up to 80% on energy costs
- Variable speed pumps run cooler and quieter, which helps the pump last longer
- Filter works more efficiently to keep the pool water more clean, clear and healthy
- Get money-saving instant rebates from NV Energy
2008 Pool Pump Rebates:

- When you purchase your new two-speed or multi-speed pump, you will receive your instant rebate at the time of purchase.

More Information on Pool Pumps
Two-Speed Pumps are typically adequate for older pools. The two speeds of the motor are preset and cannot be adjusted. The high speed is used when more water flow is needed; for example using a pool cleaner, starting up your roof-mounted solar heater, or after back washing your Diatomaceous Earth (DE) or sand filter. Otherwise, the majority of your filtration should be done on the low speed. A two-speed pump will need a controller capable of switching the motor speeds automatically.
Variable-Speed Pumps are capable of performing just as well as two-speed pumps. Variable speed pumps provide ultimate flexibility. Some of them can be programmed to run at more than four speeds and at the desired flow rate for each application. Variable speed pumps and motors need no additional controls.
